About Your First Visit

What should I expect on my first day?

Your first appointment will be an intake appointment. This appointment routinely entails meeting with your provider and discussing our services, what needs you may have to be addressed, what to expect in terms of treatment and completion of some initial intake paperwork. Appointments are routinely 45-50 minutes and it is requested that you arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete some paperwork. We have posted most of the paperwork here on this page, so that you may fill it out and bring it to your first appointment.

How often will my appointments be scheduled?

This should be discussed with your provider during intake. It will really depend on what your clinician determines as necessary. Please feel free to discuss this if you have some concerns.

Are these appointments confidential?

Yes. Absolutely. We are required by law to keep information confidential. Usually, in order for us to speak with anyone, we need a release. If you have a need for your provider to collaborate with an outside source such as a doctor, school, lawyer or other person, please ask us for a release. Your provider will discuss with you the limitations of a release as well as mandated reporting and the HIPAA Privacy Act (see below). Again, feel free to ask any questions both at intake or anytime.

What about insurance? Will my appointments be covered?

We accept most health insurance plans. Just give us a call and we can answer any questions you may have: (603) 329-6440
